diocesan deputation meets to prepare for GC’09

on a sunny, breezy thursday afternoon at the Paulsen House in Spokane,WA, nine members of the diocesan deputation to this summer’s General Convention in Anaheim, CA met to discuss the life and business of this wonderful tri-ennial event.

organized by Deputy Bryan Krislock, lay deputation c0-chair, and Deputy Kristi Philip, clerical deputation co-chair, the organizational meeting included conversation about how we plan to communicate with the world outside GC — via blogs, twitter, etc. –as well as a general cultural introduction to GC for new deputies to calendaring for daily business and deputation check-ins to money matters to GC self-care.

the meeting is intended to help the deputation hit the ground running when GC begins on Tuesday, July 7th and also how deputies can best take advantage of the many rich opportunities for fellowship, learning, and worship provide by General Convention.
